IVAANA MITRA

Ivaana Chatterjee Mitra is a graduate student reading for Comparative Social Policy at the University of Oxford. Her main academic interests revolve around ethics in AI, platform governance, and the societal impacts of AI, with a focus on migration and vulnerability online. She previously read Politics and International Relations at UCL, where she developed mixed-methods skills, data curation and quantitative text analysis alongside interviews and rapid evidence reviews and translated findings into concise, policy-facing briefs. At the Speech Lab, she contributes to projects on cumulative harm of hate speech. Beyond the lab, she has coordinated multi-stakeholder initiatives and worked on evidence-based recommendations in utilising AI in business development.
