Devi Sankhla is a third-year Philosophy, Politics and Economics student at UCL. Her academic interests lie in understanding how narratives and language both construct and reveal patterns of public opinion and power.
Over the summer, she worked at Save the Children UK, examining how media narratives shape public understandings of child poverty. Alongside her studies, she serves as UCL’s Women’s Officer, working with university leadership to create more inclusive policy.
Her work at the Lab focusses on developing and delivering sessions on algorithmic bias, misinformation, and content moderation.
